hey kar yaw, form 3 right, actually need to teach them transformation wan, but i tell my student that im going to teach them this next chapter call chapter 11, a very nice chapter and interesting chapter call a good chapter. aka LINEAR EQUATION 11
i will tell them this is a chapter which is far more easier than previous form 2 linear equation chapter. coz in form 2 we learn, by using One equation, we can solve One unknown answer.
Ex. 2x+3=7, can u see, this is AN EQUATION, we only need to SOLVE AN UNKNOWN.
and further more, eventhough we have 2x+3 divide by 4x-7 the whole thing = 12, solve X.
it's still ONE EQUATION, SOLVE ONE UNKNOWN.
ok, back to this form 3 chapter.
in this chapter we uses 2 equation to solve.
2x+9y=6
7x+9y=15
solve x and y.
can u see 2 equations to solve 2 unknowns.
this is known as SIMALTANEOUS EQUATION.
ok, in this chapter we have only 2 method to solve it.
by using ELIMINATION and SUBSTITUTION method.
today, we teach only one chapter. elimination method
so, by using the example above.solve and let them see it step by step.
then do another example with them. the question we be setted by u.
Next, go into harder question.
lets do this one.
Ex.
2x+6y=12
4x+3y=8
solve x and y.
but, please teach this ahh. tell them, we can choose anyone of the unknown to start. means, we can use x or y, "it's YOUR CHOICE, DECIDE YOURSELF", tell the student that. XD
p/s: please teach them the steps ya, coz all the steps like ----1, -----2, substitute 3 into 1, all these are side marks. they need to write in the answer to as part of the marks.
sorry ah kar yaw, post late ad hehe
